The Beatles
Beatles Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lennon and Ringo Starr
display their MBEs which were presented to them by the Queen at
Buckingham Palace in October, 1965. It sparked fury among other MBE
holders, many of whom returned their medals in disgust. No stranger to
controversy, The Beatles have arguably been the biggest infulence on
the music industry in the second half of the 20th century.
